Over the past week, due to the Chief of Staff's decision to reduce the number of combat soldiers and combat supporters returning home, thousands of packages have been ordered from the Beehive network's trade site (operating on behalf of Yahad for the Soldier, the unified body of Levi and the Committee for the Soldier).
Most of the packages ordered were sent to IDF bases in the south.
According to Zvika Goldenberg, CEO of the Beehive chain:
"In order to meet the high demand and ensure fast delivery of the packages to the soldiers, we will increase trucks and workers, including Friday and Saturday."
The families used the online system to send the soldiers closed at the bases missing equipment, clothing, food and treats, the average package value in the last week was over NIS 200.
But there were also those who paid NIS 1,335 for the most expensive package.
The leading products: thermal and flannel shirts and pants, socks, underwear, toothpastes, deodorants, wet wipes, sweets and snacks.

Goldenberg: "Beehive's trade site that allows ordering store products for soldiers who serve even in the small and remote outposts where there are no points of sale.
Goldenberg adds that "families increase orders and take care of completing missing equipment, especially lingerie hygiene products and lots of treats to sweeten the extended stay, knowing that the packages will be delivered to their loved ones within up to four business days."

The chain recently opened "Hive Market", supermarkets with an innovative concept that are managed and operated by the soldiers.
This is a shopping experience reminiscent of that of the civilian marketing chains with a variety of over 7,000 items tailored to the demands and preferences of the soldiers.
Today, the chain has three branches in bases in the south of the country: Rangers, Nabatieh and Shizafon, and later more branches will be opened.
