Many companies are complaining about a shortage of skilled workers, including in Australia.
The Australian spirits company "Dan Murphy's" has set itself an ambitious goal so that enough employees can help out during the Christmas season: It wants to create 2,200 new jobs and conduct the necessary job interviews by September 11th.
If the conversation goes well, you get the job
Entry into the company should be as easy as possible for applicants: From Monday to Sunday, interested parties can simply visit one of the 258 Australian branches - and then face a ten-minute interview on site: "Every single Dan Murphy's branch is hiring". , said Dan Murphy's general manager, Agi Pfeiffer-Smith.
Interested parties should simply come by: "We undertake to conduct a short interview with every applicant on the spot." If the interview is successful, many could be hired directly.
Most positions have a minimum working time of 20 hours per week.
According to Pfeiffer-Smith, everyone who wants to earn some extra money is wanted, from students to pensioners.
The only requirement: the new employees must be at least 18 years old.
In order to make the jobs more attractive, the company also lures people into paying for a license and training in order to be allowed to sell alcohol at all.
In addition, the hired employees should receive discounts for drinks and food from the company.
Australia wants to attract more guest workers to the country
Approximately 430,000 jobs are open in Australia.
The Australian government therefore wants to recruit more guest workers from abroad.
German companies are also coming up with some ideas to counteract the shortage of skilled workers in the country.
Some time ago, a German insurance company offered 500 euros for anyone who only came for an interview.
