Based on the indications of the Minister of Economy, Sergio Massa, the Secretariats of Energy and Commerce today renewed the Fair Prices agreement with the oil sector to stabilize fuel prices for the next 4 months.
"This agreement, presented by the Secretary of Energy, Flavia Royón, and the Secretary of Commerce, Matías Tombolini, establishes a guideline of 4% per month in the prices of gasoline and diesel from April 15 to August 15" , informed the Secretary of Energy.
YPF, PAE, Raízen and Trafigura, the main companies in the sector, signed this agreement.
"We understand that this requires effort from companies, the State is already making an effort to contain prices and anchor inflationary expectations so that this does not have an effect on prices and on people's pockets," said the secretary. of Energy, Flavia Royón in a statement.
Alejandro Fernández (Commercial Vice President of YPF), Martín Urdapilleta (General Manager of Trafigura), Alejandro Cervino (External Relations Manager of Raizen) and Agustín Agraz (Vice President of Institutional Relations for Downstream Operations of Pan American Energy), participated on behalf of the companies.
Raizen operates the Shell brand, while Pan American Energy markets Axion products.
"The signing of this agreement allows us to give a signal of predictability to consumers, users and companies and, in addition, it accompanies the roadmap established by Minister Massa that encourages us to maintain fiscal balance and take care of reserves", according to Tombolini.
