The Board of Directors of Discount Bank, headed by Shaul Kobrinsky, decided, in accordance with the recommendation of the search committee, to appoint Avi Levy as CEO of the Discount Group.

Levy (56), who currently serves as Head of the Discount Banking Division, has in-depth familiarity and extensive managerial and professional experience of many years in various banking fields, including: business credit, risk management, investments and international activity.

Levy joined Discount in 2011 and since then has served in various positions in the bank's management. In his last position as Head of the Banking Division, he was responsible, inter alia, for managing branches, mortgages, private banking and the service center. Prior to that, he served as Senior Vice President and Head of the Risk Management Division, and Head of the Client Assets Division.

Prior to joining Discount, Levy served in a variety of senior positions at Bank Hapoalim, including managing Poalim UK and senior positions in the Business Division.

Levy holds an MBA with a specialization in finance from Bar Ilan University, and a bachelor's degree in economics from Tel Aviv University.

Shaul Kobrinsky, Chairman of the Board of Directors: "I congratulate Avi Levy on choosing him to lead the Discount Group in the coming years, and I am full of satisfaction with the fact that we have an experienced and respected team of managers within the group, which enables us to promote excellent managers from within the group. Avi is a talented manager with broad professional knowledge, deep familiarity and proven ability in the changing world of banking and finance, and he will head the Group's strong and stable management backbone.
The Group's Board of Directors expresses full confidence in Avi and is convinced that he has all the tools, skills and abilities to continue the momentum of growth in which the Group is and lead it to many additional achievements, even during this period, when there are challenges alongside new opportunities for the Israeli economy in general and the financial industry in particular. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Uri Levin for his significant contribution to Discount Bank and wish him great success in the future."

Avi Levy, Group CEO-designate: "I thank the Bank's Board of Directors for the trust it has placed in me and am excited for the opportunity to lead, together with our excellent management team, one of the largest, most influential and important financial institutions in the Israeli economy.

As someone who has been part of the Bank for the past 12 years, I appreciate the excellent organizational and business culture that has been instilled in it, and the constant desire to challenge the banking industry with the aim of benefiting customers, shareholders and employees. I am determined to continue the work that will maintain the strength of the group but also open its activity in new directions."

Avi Levy will replace Uri Levin, CEO of the Discount Group, who is stepping down from his position after 3.5 years in which he led the Discount Group with unprecedented success, positioning it as a powerful and dominant entity that constantly challenges the financial system in Israel.

Avi Levy's appointment is subject to approval by the Bank of Israel, and the date of commencement of his term has not yet been determined.
