In the match for the 12th place in the European Championship, Israel's girls' team defeated Greece 55:72 today (Sunday), surviving and remaining in the first tier.

Naama Halevi opened the second half with an important three-pointer that made it 37:47 for Israel after four minutes.
The advantage increased to 15 points, and half a minute before the end of the quarter Hila Karsh with another three-pointer - her fourth - set a promising 42:59 for Israel.
Even in the last quarter, Israel did not go backwards, defended excellently and celebrated the survival in the first tier.
