Off to the grill: How to sizzle delicious grilled chicken skewers

Instead of steaks and sausages, fine chicken and vegetable skewers are on the grill today.
The next barbecue evening can start right away.
Summer is finally here and that means for most German households: the barbecue season has begun!
What do you typically put on the grill?
Steaks, grilled vegetables, sausages, corn?
One of the classics is definitely there.
But how about some poultry?
For example as delicious
chicken and vegetable grilled skewers
?
They are prepared in no time and taste great for young and old alike.
And the healthy side dish in the form of vegetables is included.
Also ideal for everyone who is looking for something light from the grill because they want to lose weight.
The ingredients for the chicken skewers
Servings: | 15 skewers |

Grill time: | 10 mins |
500 g chicken breast fillet – with this trick you can quickly remove tendons and fat
1 zucchini
1 onion
1 pepper
150 g cocktail tomatoes
salt and pepper
Spices and herbs of your choice (e.g. paprika powder, thyme, basil)
Also: 15 wooden skewers or kebab skewers (approx. 20 cm long)
Of course, you can also use other vegetables of your choice for the vegetables for the grill skewers.
Tip for wooden skewers
If you use wooden skewers, you should soak them in water beforehand so that they do not burn on the grill.
Also works in the oven: prepare meat and vegetable skewers and grill them in the oven
Prepare and grill chicken skewers with vegetables: Here's how
Prep: Wash and pat dry the chicken breast fillet and cut into bite-sized cubes.
Wash off the vegetables.
Slice the zucchini and onion and dice the peppers.
Now alternately skewer the chicken, zucchini, onions, peppers and tomatoes on the skewers.
Season the skewers with salt, pepper, spices and herbs.
You can then grill the chicken skewers until desired browning.
The chicken and vegetable skewers go well with dips and sauces, sliced baguette or – if you can’t get enough vegetables – salad
