No more throwing your stale bread in the trash. The Tiktokeur and anti-waste chef Nabil Zemmouri opened the ports to us

With him nothing is lost, everything is transformed.

For just over a year, 35-year-old chef Nabil Zemmouri has been making tutorials on TikTok to show how to give food a second life.

Some of his videos have over 11 million views.

"I always put a touch of humor in my videos, and I think people like that," he laughs.

Overripe avocados, cauliflower greens, kiwi skin… Anything goes.

"I think it's in the era of time to offer this kind of recipes," explains the influencer from Seine-Saint-Denis.

"I saw people making videos to share their passion on TikTok, and I wanted to get started."

It is in the kitchen of his apartment located in Argenteuil that Nabil Zemmouri - alias "chef_n_zem" on social networks - simmers his videos and his small dishes.

“Generally, between shooting and editing, I need a whole day to make 30 seconds of video,” he says.

Today, it is stale bread that Nabil Zemmouri intends to tackle, by transforming it into French toast ice cream.

No need for an ice cream maker to make it, the recipe can be made with simple utensils.

To make French toast ice cream for 4 people

:

- Half a baguette of stale bread

- 2 eggs

- 20 cl of milk

- 20 cl of cream

- vanilla (in extract, or vanilla sugar)

- 40 g of sugar, or 2 tablespoons

Watch how to make the recipe in our video at the top of the article.
