Anne Heche: Became known for »Ally McBeal« among other things

The US actress Anne Heche is apparently no longer in mortal danger after a serious car accident in Los Angeles.
The condition of the 53-year-old is stable, said Heche's podcast partner Heather Duffy Boylston at the weekend.
"Her family and friends are asking that they be thought of and prayed for, and that their privacy be respected at this difficult time."
The police and fire brigade had reported the accident in the Mar Vista district without naming the driver.
According to consistent media reports, however, it was Heche.
She left the road in her blue Mini Cooper Clubman on Friday and drove into a house.

The Los Angeles Fire Department said in a press release that the vehicle struck a two-story house, "complaining the structure and starting a serious fire."
According to the fire department, around 60 firefighters were deployed to extinguish the fire.
Images published by numerous media show the burned out and destroyed wreckage of Heche's car.
According to official information, the driver was taken to a hospital in critical condition, and no other injuries were reported.
Heche is the mother of two sons.
She is known for roles in films such as Donnie Brasco, Six Days Seven Nights, Wag the Dog and Volcano.
TV viewers know her from series like »Ally McBeal« and »Nip/Tuck«.
Her marriage to cinematographer Coley Laffoon ended in divorce in 2009.
Before her marriage, Heche dated talk show host Ellen DeGeneres for a while.
