Advanced baking: The preparation of the Christmas cake is worthwhile
Put the milk, sugar, orange zest, honey and cane molasses in a saucepan and bring the ingredients to a boil.
The contents of the pot should then cool for about half an hour before pouring into a bowl.
Add the Christmas spices and butter and mix with a mixer.
The oven is preheated to 160 degrees Celsius top/bottom heat (convection 140 degrees Celsius) and the baking tin greased.
Place the flour, baking powder, and baking soda in the bowl, along with the eggs.
Stir well again before pouring the Christmas cake batter into the baking pan.
Bake the cake base for about an hour, let it cool down and then cut it in half lengthwise.
Melt the white chocolate in the microwave or in a water bath and then let it cool.
Then, in a bowl, mix the cream cheese with the mascarpone and powdered sugar and finally add the melted white chocolate.
Cinnamon and cardamom follow, then stir again.
Place the first layer of cake on a suitable cake stand and cover it with an adjustable cake ring.
Spread about half of the filling onto the cake base.
This is followed by the second cake base, which you press down lightly on the first and spread the remaining filling on top.
The third and last layer of cake goes at the very top, which you also press down on slightly before you put the Christmas cake in the fridge for at least two hours.
For the icing, bring the cream to the boil in a saucepan and add the chocolate piece by piece.
With constant stirring, the chocolate is melted and evenly mixed with the cream, the glucose syrup and the coconut fat - which you also add.
Allow the Christmas cake chocolate frosting to cool slightly before pouring it over the cake from the center.
Depending on your taste, you can decorate the home-made eye-catching Christmas cake with Christmas elements such as a gingerbread man, cinnamon sticks or Christmas sprinkles.
Alternatively, you can decorate the Christmas cake with homemade cookies from the Christmas bakery.
How about, for example, juicy Hilda rolls, 10-minute Bethmännchen, heavenly buttery clouds or tender snowballs?
