Spokesman for the Egyptian Foreign Ministry, Ahmed Hafez, denounced the allegations made by the Turkish Minister of Foreign Affairs Mevlüt Çavuşolu, which included among various references a negative response to the political developments Egypt witnessed in connection with the June 30 revolution.
In a statement today, the spokesman said that these false allegations “confirm the continued clinging to totally counterfactual allegations in order to serve the ideological orientations of the Turkish regime,” stressing the complete rejection of this approach.
Hafez pointed out that continuing to talk about Egypt in this negative tone and at the same time with this amount of contradiction, only reinforces the lack of credibility regarding any allegation by seeking to create the appropriate environment for relations based on respect and adherence to the rules of international legitimacy.
