The accusations against him persist, the trial for alleged corruption advances and the multi-million dollar embargoes against him continue.
Cristina Kirchner's judicial front continues to generate some concern, because in the federal courts she still has eight cases brought to trial, a debate in full swing that, no matter how extensive it becomes, will conclude at some point.
In addition, their children are prosecuted and will have to face the oral debate possibly after the electoral year, and the family businesses completed four years of intervention.
"This is not my judicial reform,"
said Cristina Kirchner about the judicial reform project.
Possibly, the difference with the project that was the Congress was because the vice president wanted a more radical change and, in turn, more effective in time that could impact a range of causes and prosecutions that still weigh on her.
He advanced in key places, but inside the Casa Rosada they admit that
the tension is increasing due to the few changes in his judicial record.
It is true that there are men who respond to the vice president in decisive places: Felix Crous in the Anti-Corruption Office (OA), Carlos Cruz in the Financial Information Unit (UIF), Ricardo Nissen in the General Inspection of Justice (IGJ) and Carlos Zannini in front of the Treasury Office.
In each of these instances, key decisions were made, investigation teams were dismantled, some lawsuits against Cristina Kirchner that dragged on from the previous administration were not advanced, and the OA withdrew from 32 complaints.
These initiatives are a respite, but at the same time it has an expiration date if there is a change in management in the 2023 elections.
The vice president knows better than anyone what could change her judicial fortune.
What causes restlessness?
At this point, Cristina expected that the structure that placed her as the main defendant in a series of corruption cases would be dismantled, with no possibility of advancing to higher levels.
The indicators show the opposite: the only trial against him, for the alleged direction in the public works, continues in full development and even if the OA desists to accuse, the prosecution maintains that it has a strong case.
Despite the large number of testimonial statements that still lie ahead, and despite the pandemic, the hearings resumed their rhythm and a sentence from the Federal Oral Court 2 (TOF 2) could be heard in just over a year, with Cristina Kirchner still as vice president.
