In the documentation that reached Walla!

We can see the moments when the fire that led to the huge fire in the Jerusalem area, which consumed 25,000 dunams of forests in the area, broke out.

The video shows that the fire, which broke out on the outskirts of the settlement of Beit Meir, developed simultaneously in two centers, the main one of which is the Comb Reserve, while at the same time, across the road, a fire developed in the Mount Carmila area.

News 13 reported that due to the fact that there were two centers of fire, the assessment tonight is that the fire was caused as a result of arson.

However, firefighters make it clear that the weather conditions that were on the day of the fire led to its spread, and it is not inconceivable that this is the cause of the fire in both hotspots.

Towards 15:00, students of an educational institution operating in the locality noticed a fire that was taking place in the area of the Comb Reserve, and called the fire brigade to the scene.

Long minutes later a fire truck arrived and began trying to put out the fire.

As part of the investigation to find out the circumstances of the fire, the investigation team arrived at the educational institution today and will question students.

Among other things, they were asked if they noticed figures or people near the forest near the time of the arson.
