Golf - European Tour: Warrior at the head of the Masters of Andalusia

2021-10-15T06:33:51.100Z

The French Julien Guerrier took the lead of the Masters of Andalusia after the first round played Thursday on the course of the Real Club de Valderrama, in Sotogrande.

Only a few days after his 3rd place at the Spanish Open, Guerrier, recovered in a single tournament from 608th to 429th place in the world rankings, once again showed that he is in great shape today.

By returning a card of 67, the French did better than the Spaniard Rafael Cabrera-Bello (68), winner in the play-off last Sunday in Madrid, and his compatriot Romain Langasque (69), provisionally 3rd with two strokes of Warrior.

Guerrier and Langasque also did much better than world number 1 Jon Rahm, who scored a pitiful 78, seven strokes over Par, which placed him in 107th place, four days after a disappointing 17th place in the Spanish Open where he was aiming for the pass of three.
