279 Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails continue their open hunger strike to protest against its continued crimes against the prisoners.
Wafa Agency quoted the Palestinian Prisoners and Ex-Prisoners Affairs Commission as saying that 279 prisoners are continuing their strike, the oldest of whom are the six prisoners, Kayed al-Fofoss, who has been on strike for 99 days, Miqdad al-Qawasma for 92 days, Alaa al-Araj for 75 days, Hisham Abu Hawash for 66 days, Shadi Abu Aker for 58 days, and Ayyad al-Harimi for 29 days, indicating that their conditions Health is difficult and poses a threat to their lives, especially Phosphos, Qawasmeh and Abu Akar.
The Commission pointed out that three female prisoners continued their strike for the fifth day, in addition to 270 prisoners who continue their strike for the ninth consecutive day, rejecting the violations and arbitrary practices of the occupation against them. Taking their freedom through a tunnel they dug in Gilboa prison before the occupation re-arrested them after a prosecution that lasted for days. The Commission indicated that the number of striking prisoners is likely to increase in the coming days.
About 5,000 Palestinian prisoners face harsh detention conditions, 600 of whom need urgent medical intervention.
