Three men were shot dead and four others injured in an apartment shooting Friday night, Nashville, Tennessee, police said.
The wounded suffered non-life threatening gunshot wounds, the Nashville Police Department said on Twitter, adding that its homicide unit was investigating the cause of the shooting.
There was no sign that someone had broken into the apartment and investigators recovered two weapons after responding to the incident that unfolded around 9:45 p.m. local time (10:45 p.m. ET).

The shooting was
one of several that took place this Black Friday.
In Durham, North Carolina, a 10-year-old boy was wounded by a bullet that ricocheted during a shooting at a shopping mall, city police said Friday.
Two other people were shot and three others were injured (not by bullets) during the incident, according to Durham police.

Police Chief Patrice Andrews said the shooting had "occurred between two groups who knew each other" and that "they were not shooting indiscriminately."
One person was detained after the shooting, but police did not provide details on whether he faces any charges.
Also, a person was seriously injured this Friday in another shooting at a shopping center in Tacoma, Washington.
Panic gripped hundreds of people who had gone shopping for Black Friday and hid inside the stores while the mall closed.
The victim was hospitalized, police said.
Authorities from "all over the county" came together to help locate anyone related to the shooting, according to the sheriff's department.
No suspect has been detained.
