How do you create oven-baked, soft, easily stretched potato pancakes?
The secret is baking powder, which makes them insanely airy.
Almost no oil (just a little olive oil) and a lump of yellow cheese that will make your Hanukkah delicious.
Liran Rosen from the "Israeli Kitchen" team with the wonderful recipe.
Raw materials:
- 2-3 medium potatoes
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon salt (and to taste)
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 bag of baking powder
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 slices of yellow cheese
Preparation:
Scrape the potatoes after peeling and squeeze out water (I did not, I did not have the patience), add the eggs, salt, pepper and then the flour.
On the flour the baking powder (needs a dry area to fall on) then the olive oil and mix.
Preheat oven to 180 degrees, put in for 40 minutes and watch the video to understand everything.
