Iran renewed its call on the Western parties to demonstrate their good intentions in practice by lifting the embargo imposed on it and returning to the nuclear agreement, noting that the atmosphere of the current negotiations in Vienna to revive the aforementioned agreement is positive.
Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian said during a phone call today with his Norwegian counterpart, Anneken Heitfeld, that "the general atmosphere for the ongoing nuclear negotiations in Vienna is positive, and if the two parties return to their full commitments in the nuclear agreement, Iran will also stop its compensatory steps."
Abdullahian called on the Western parties not to limit themselves to showing good intentions through words only, but to embody them practically on the ground by lifting the embargo imposed on Iran and returning to the nuclear agreement.
For her part, Hoetfeld described Iran's cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency as "constructive", expressing the hope that the Vienna negotiations would lead to a good agreement between the two sides.
An informed source close to the Iranian negotiating team in Vienna confirmed earlier today that the issue of reaching a temporary agreement during the ongoing talks in the Austrian capital between Iran and the Four Plus One Group is not on the table.
