Despite the increasing number of corona infections, North Rhine-Westphalia's school minister Yvonne Gebauer (FDP) is sticking to classroom teaching.
All protective measures served the goal of receiving the face-to-face teaching that is so important for educational justice, she said on Wednesday in the school committee of the Düsseldorf state parliament.
Düsseldorf - Just like in the week before Christmas - according to the recording up to January 12th - no school in NRW is still completely closed due to Corona.
Until then, only one school had taught at a distance (before Christmas at 11 schools).
95 schools were taught face-to-face and at a distance (133 schools before Christmas).

But it is correct: "The current infection process is picking up speed," said Gebauer.
The omicron variant is shown to be significantly more infectious. The state government has therefore optimized the test procedures in schools.
The minister called on opposition leader Thomas Kutschtay (SPD) not to question the test procedures in schools and the scientific expertise behind them without good reason.
That upsets the parents.
"End your harmful election campaign noise," she appealed to the SPD parliamentary group leader and state party leader.
The SPD and the Greens again criticized that the overall sensitivity of the newly purchased corona tests for schools to determine viral loads was lower than that of the old tests.
"The fact is: the new tests are worse than the old ones," said SPD deputy faction leader Jochen Ott.
The harsh reaction of the school minister only shows that nerves in the state government are on edge.
"Criticism is always considered an insult to majesty." dpa
