This agent “intervened to help them, and was severely burned in the knee despite wearing firewall equipment, tells us the Interregional Directorate of Paris Penitentiary Services.

He was hospitalized.

The other officers inhaled smoke.

The management also assures that it was "one of the two inmates who set fire to his cell", who was finally able "to be circumscribed without the need to evacuate the other cells".

The disaster is currently under control.

Sixteen firefighters supported by seven devices intervened in the largest prison in Europe.

The Ufap-Unsa Justice union is asking the management to file a complaint "for having endangered the lives of these agents", reports AFP.
