A fire broke out on an Italian-flagged liner in the Ionian Sea with 237 passengers and 51 crew members on board as it traveled between the Greek port of Igoumenitsa (northwest) and Brindisi (east of Italy), we learned on Friday February 18 from the Greek port police.
According to initial information, no casualties have been reported so far.

, and three patrol boats and three coast guard tugs were dispatched to the scene, according to the same source.
The incident took place off the northern coast of the Greek island of Corfu, between Greece and Albania.
The causes of the fire are not yet known and an investigation has been opened, according to the Greek coast guard.
