Landsberg – 18 out of a possible 21 appearances, two goals, quickly won a regular place – this is the record of new signing Alessandro Di Rosa in the jersey of the Bayern Bundesliga soccer club TSV Landsberg.

Born in Munich, he is 21 years old and “a left-back with an attacking urge”, as he describes himself.

It was Jürgen Meissner, the sporting director of TSV, who brought Di Rosa (with a capital D as in U21 national coach Antonio Di Salvo) from FC Augsburg to the Lech in the summer.

In the FCA Regionalliga U23s, the defender got stuck on the bench: "Unfortunately, the coach didn't count on me," he looks back.

There was also an internal ligament tear.

Consequence: Alessandro was not used in his first year (that was the Corona season) and played exactly twice in the second year.

"Two games in two years, that didn't make sense.

I had to go," he says.

Luckily for everyone involved, Meissner noticed.

In Augsburg, Di Rosa shared the fate of his best friend and tennis buddy, Yannick Oberleitner (20), the son of former Unterhachinger Bundesliga professional Markus Oberleitner (49).

He didn't get any further with the Swabians either and looked for a new club in the summer.

Now he plays in Austria, with a professional contract with the LASK Juniors, the substructure of the Bundesliga club Linzer ASK, in the regional league.

And is set there, already training with the pros.

A professional contract is also the goal of the Neu-Landsberg player with shirt number 37. "It's been my biggest dream since I've been playing football," reveals the left-footed player with two citizenships.

And the five siblings.

Papa Bernardo is - of course, by the surname - Italian, Mama Birgit comes from Munich.

In addition to his twin sister Sarah, Di Rosa grew up with Carolin (26), Deborah (23), Sabina (20) and brother Fabio (16) in Schwabing.

The extended family still lives there today.

Only Carolin has since moved out.

Despite Italian ancestors: Alessandro does not speak your language.

"I missed that at school, that was stupid of me," he admits today.

Football was more important.

Di Rosa started in Grünwald, was part of the support team at the Munich football school and then switched to SpVgg Unterhaching for two and a half years (U13 to U15).

Then he went to FC Augsburg, where he played in the U17 and U19 Bundesliga.

The training at FCA is now benefiting him: "He has everything a full-back needs to have.

He's fast and has a great left foot," praised TSV player coach Sascha Mölders.

The former Bundesliga professional adds: "But you have to keep telling him that he has to give everything because 70 or 80 percent isn't enough.

But if he gives 100 percent, he can certainly play a few leagues higher.

He's young and brings a lot with him, but he has to call it up in every training session.

We keep making that clear to him.” The verdict of Mölders and his player-coach colleague Mike Hutterer: “A really good, talented player.

We're glad he's with us."

Di Rosa (that's also his "common name" on the field), who graduated from the social FOS in Freiham, is currently working at "Film- und Fernsehen", helping with set-up and dismantling - "where is it Help is needed right now.” But something has to change in the new year: “I definitely want to start an apprenticeship so that I have something permanent next to football.”

And how does the left-back see his future in football?

"The Bayernliga can't be the end," he says confidently.

Of course he knows: "A few good games are not enough for a higher league.

I need a whole, good season for that.” Alessandro is certain: “I have confidence that I can still make the leap into professional football.” The optimal next step on this path: “I hope and will do everything for it do that we rise.

Because regional league with Landsberg would be great.

I've never felt so comfortable in a team so quickly, it was exactly the right decision to move here."

Which is not least due to Mölders: “Sascha tries to talk to the young players a lot.

There is a lot of fun involved, but above all a lot of seriousness.

I think Sascha and Mike Hutterer are doing a really good job.” But the youngster had to get used to one thing: “In the beginning it was funny that someone first gave the speech in the dressing room and then stood next to you on the pitch. But the youngster got used to that a long time ago...
