One year into the Legislative Council, Di Zhiyuan, a member of the social welfare sector with new thinking, released his annual work report today (3rd).
He once claimed that he would propose a motion for political reform within 100 days of taking office, but he has not seen any proposal so far. He explained the "walking numbers" and said that Hong Kong people's demand for democracy is currently downplaying, and he will propose a parliamentary motion at an appropriate time.
He bluntly said that the current parliamentary voice is skewed, thin and not diverse enough. He also said that he would actively consider sending someone to participate in the by-election to fill the vacancy of Huang Yuanshan, who has just resigned from his post as a member of the chief executive's policy team.

Di Zhiyuan said that the current voice of the Legislative Council is slanted, and whether it is "colorful" or not is a matter of opinion. He cited the government's recent release of multiple development blueprints as an example, pointing to some omissions, criticizing the government for purifying opposition voices, but strengthening administrative dominance, describing the existence of "single imagine".

He also pointed out that the people of Hong Kong have downplayed their demands for democracy, and emphasized that he would put forward a motion to reform parliamentarians at an appropriate time, but he believed that now is not an appropriate time.
He also pointed out that a friend told him "don't rush to make a decision", pointing out that the political reform plan needs a lot of strength and conditions.
After Huang Yuen-shan resigned as a member of the Legislative Council, there was a vacant seat in the Legislative Council. Di Zhiyuan said that New Thinking is a small party and will actively strive for any opportunity, hoping to play a bigger role in the Legislative Council.
