An indictment was filed today (Sunday) in the district court in Haifa against 32-year-old Abraham Sayed Ahmed from Sakhenin, a brother in the "Hood" residence for the disabled in the German colony in Haifa.

This, for severe physical and mental abuse of one of the residents of the place, 22-year-old Jose with a developmental intellectual disability, as well as for obstructing legal proceedings.

The incident on which the indictment is based occurred about two weeks ago.

So, according to the indictment, A attacked one of the nurses at the place and in response he was put in an isolated sedation room - for the purpose of relaxation, and in order to prevent him from harming himself and others.

However, a few minutes after he was brought into the room, the accused was brought into the room, who was asked to monitor A's condition - and began a pattern of severe abuse.

According to the indictment, as soon as he closed the door of the room after him, the accused stepped on the chest and face of A. several times, while he leaned against the walls of the room and intensified the intensity of the step.

This, while A is lying on the mattress and trying to shield his face with his hands.

After that, Seyed Ahmed is recorded removing his leg from his face for a few seconds, during which A tried to say something.

However, then the brother sat down and stepped on his face while, among other things, crushing his mouth in a way that did not allow him to speak.

Later, he was recorded beating Jose for long minutes in all parts of his body - while A. was lying on the mattress, trying to protect his body in vain.

The suspicion against him arose after the same day the accused approached one of the daycare centers, requesting to delete the security camera footage in the room where he committed the acts.

This, after according to the indictment he noticed the camera only when he left the room and after he had committed the acts.

His request raised the suspicion of the coordinator, and after watching the videos, the team reported his actions to the police.

The director of the daycare said that the accused confessed to her the actions and expressed remorse.

However, when interrogated by the police, Seyed Ahmed denied the acts, despite his clear recording on the security camera, while claiming that he does not recognize which employee it is or the beaten Jose.
