In 2021, 56% of sexual violence cases were resolved after one year of investigation, compared to 62% in 2017.

In absolute value, the number of cases of sexual violence elucidated after one year between 2017 and 2021 has thus increased by 63%.
Regarding scams and breaches of trust, only 17% of these cases were closed after one year in 2021, compared to 29% in 2017.

If the police and gendarmes were seized of 43% more investigations over this period, the total number of scam cases cleared up after one year between 2017 and 2021 nevertheless fell by 17%.

Homicide is the case with the highest clearance rate after one year (74% in 2021), behind investigations into intentional assault and battery within the family (82%).
Nevertheless, it is down compared to 2017 (78%, -4 points), a development which is also partly explained by the increase in murders observed at the same time (+7%).

Burglaries (8%), non-violent thefts (8%) and vehicle-related thefts (7%) are those with the lowest clearance rates, and at a stable level since 2017.
