After the morning mists that affected the City of Buenos Aires and surroundings, this Sunday the porteños are once again affected by
the presence of smoke and the smell of burning
.
The phenomenon -which is generally produced by the burning of pastures or fires in nearby areas- began to be reported by the neighbors around 11 in the morning.
So far, there was no official confirmation of what the origin is.
"What is burning? In San Cristóbal the fog and the smell of burning are tremendous," Andrea said on Twitter, where many users complained about the situation that surprised them this morning.
There were also reports in the neighborhoods of Montserrat, Palermo, Recoleta, Caballito, Parque Chacabuco, Almagro and Barracas.
The smoke reached the City in the middle of a Sunday day that was cloudy, and that had started with morning mists.
The temperature remains warm, in a range between 15 and 23 degrees, according to data from the National Meteorological Service (SMN).
