The civil protection also intervened for the assistance and distribution of comfort items to the people on board the vehicles queuing for 12 kilometers "increasing" on the southern carriageway of the Umbrian stretch of the Autosole. This was reported by Autostrade per l'Italia, explaining that in the stretch between Fabro and Orvieto towards Naples there was an accident involving three cars and a heavy vehicle.

According to ANSA, the driver of an articulated vehicle used to transport diesel fuel, empty, for reasons under investigation, lost control of the vehicle that after breaking through the central guard placed itself sideways on the roadway. The driver was slightly injured.

On the spot the Orvieto traffic police to coordinate rescue interventions and investigations, together with firefighters and staff of the fifth section of Fiano Romano of Autostrade.

Currently, traffic passes on one lane and the closure of the Fabro station entering Rome is reported. For short distances, Autostrade recommends exiting at Fabro station, continuing on the Umbrian-Casentino provincial road and finally returning to the motorway at Orvieto station.
