Microsoft has introduced a whole new set of computers in its Surface series in New York. With the Surface Pro X, for example, Microsoft launches the hitherto thinnest and lightest surface model on the market. In addition, the Group presented another Surface Pro tablet with the latest Intel technology and the third version of his Surface laptop, this time with a screen size of 15 inches.
For the Surface Pro X Microsoft developed together with the chip manufacturer Qualcomm its own ARM processor. Thanks to him, the device should be particularly energy efficient. If required, the new model is always connected to the Internet via the LTE Advanced mobile communications standard. The housing of the 13-inch device is according to Microsoft only 7.3 millimeters thin.
Two USB-C ports allow the Surface Pro X to be charged or connected to other devices. The Pro X can be pre-ordered now and should cost from 1149 euros. It will be delivered from 19 November. As an accessory, there is a specially developed signature keyboard and a slim pen that can be transported in the keyboard.
Intel's latest processor generation
Meanwhile, the Surface Pro 7 is running tenth-generation Intel Core processors. The tablet has a USB-C port with quick charge function. Microsoft states that the battery lasts for a day. Like its predecessors, the device can be used as a laptop with a dockable keyboard or as a tablet with a 12.3-inch display. The Surface Pro 7 is available to end customers from 22 October from 899 euros.
The third generation of the Surface Laptop also comes for the first time with 15-inch display. For residential customers, there is the 15-inch version with processors from AMD. Business customers get the device with Intel's latest processor generation. Also, the 13.5-inch version of the Surface Laptop 3 is equipped with Intel's Ice Lake chip.
The SSD hard disk of the laptop is replaceable. The interfaces are each a USB-C and USB-A port built. Private users also get the 13.5-inch version from October 22 from 1149 euros, the 15-inch version from 1349 euros.

The Microsoft Surface Neo
At the event, Microsoft also showed devices with two screens that fold and unfold via a 360-degree hinge. The tablet-sized Surface Neo has two nine-inch displays. An attachable keyboard unfolds, taking up three quarters of the lower screen. On it runs a Windows variant called 10X.
In addition, Microsoft presented the hand-sized Surface Duo, which runs on Google's Android operating system. In addition, the group showed its own in-ear headphones. "We have Surface devices for everyone," said Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella.
