Have aliens visited Earth - and maybe even right now walking the streets of Israel wearing a mask - and not noticed?
If we rely on Avi Leib, an Israeli-American professor of theoretical physics and astrophysics, the answer is probably yes.
In Professor Leib's new book to be published on January 26, Extraterrestrial: The First Sign of Intelligent Life Beyond Earth, he claims that the interstellar object known as "Umuamua" and passed near Earth in 2017, reached our solar system from the star system "Vega" which is far away 25 light years from our planet.
According to him, the space body is actually an alien relic, or garbage that aliens have thrown into space and that in the near future we are likely to see more objects of this type and even meet aliens.
Professor Leib has also been head of the Department of Astronomy at Harvard University since 2011, and is considered a very serious scientist, but has yet to receive support regarding his current claim.
Regarding the special body that passed in 2017, Leib notes that "some scientists laugh at my theory, but what would the ancient man have thought if he had met a smartphone? He would have thought it was a rhinestone. So we also have a hard time recognizing extraneous things."
"It's really anarchuronic to think we're the only life in the world. And if we're not the only way of life then why should we think we're necessarily the smartest people on the block?" He added.
"Actually, what humanity is doing is just fighting and destroying the planet so it's pretty clear we're not the smartest."
