The first thing that caught the eye in the press release of the new Mercedes C-Class was the statement that for now the car will be offered with only 4-cylinder engines.
This is not the first time it is with motors in this configuration, but it is definitely the first time it is
only
with such motors.
But then I remember that even in the performance of her great-grandmother, the 190th founder of the dynasty that later became the C-Class - the automotive world was struck with astonishment "Mercedes produces a car the size of a Ford Sierra ?!".
But astonishment aside, since that car in 1981 and throughout the 11 years of production and then the generations of the C-Class, this series has sold more than 10.5 million units.

The operating system is the second generation of the MBUX architecture, which means that the voice activation of various systems is also supplemented with an option such as a fixed Internet connection for streaming media or updates via a network connection directly to the car.
More additions and changes in the new generation are in the air shocks that come as standard in the plug-in versions.
The rear suspension arrangement continues here as well but has been upgraded to improve its operation including reducing the noises that get into the cabin.
But the most notable addition here is the rear-wheel drive option, the one introduced in the S-Class and this is its first entry into this segment.
The rear steering that turns the wheels at an angle of up to 2.5 degrees in the opposite direction to that of the front at a lower speed or parallel to it at a higher speed, allows to improve the maneuvering at slow speeds and provide better stability at high speeds.
Additional details about the new generation will be provided as the car continues to be presented ahead of the arrival of the relevant versions in Israel.
When?
According to Gili Priante, CEO of Mercedes in Israel, the C-Class will be launched in Israel in the third quarter of this year.
