A woman was killed in the night from Tuesday to Wednesday in La Flèche (Sarthe) and two men were injured, probably by stabbing, during a "violent assault" in the middle of the night, at the victim's home, announced the prosecution from the Mans.
"The soldiers of the company of the gendarmerie of La Flèche were called to intervene at the home of a couple from Bangladesh, who had just been the subject of a violent attack", indicated Wednesday morning Delphine Dewailly, public prosecutor du Mans, in a press release.
Three children taken to shelter
“On site, they noted the death of a young woman, as well as the presence of her husband and a friend, both injured,” she continues.
The blows appear to have been carried with a knife.
The two men did not appear to be in danger of death.
Three children, aged two, five and eight, were first taken to shelter with a neighbor by the spouse of the killed woman and then transferred to child welfare services, after the same source.
A judicial investigation for murder and attempted murder was opened and entrusted to the Sarthe gendarmerie group.
Its purpose will be to make the necessary findings and to collect all useful testimonies, in order to establish the facts and the reasons for the aggression.
An autopsy of the victim should be performed.
