Disappointing news for all young gamers in Israel - you do not live in Japan.
If you were living in Japan you could enroll in the new e-sports high school, which will open its doors this coming April.
It is an educational institution for everything, located in the trendy Shibuya district of Tokyo.
The high school was established under the auspices of the Japanese telecom giant NTT and the sports team of Tokyo Verdy, a professional football team playing in the city.
The team is apparently interested in nurturing the future generation of gamers, and perhaps even taking the rising stars under their wing.

Beyond the futuristic design, which looks like it was taken from a computer game itself, it was reported that the high school will be equipped with dozens of modern computers with advanced processors and graphics cards (currently Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070 cards, but the equipment will be replaced according to the latest developments).
Although it has not been announced in which specific games the students will specialize, the principals of the educational institution promise to focus on third-person and first-person shooting games (FPS), real-time strategy games (RTS) and multiplayer combat arenas (MOBA).
The teachers themselves will be reputable gaming anchors in the field.

In addition to playing all day, students will be invited to participate in "real" learning trends such as designing and writing games, creating in virtual reality, developing special effects, programming and more - how to be a successful streamer or electronic sports star.
It should be emphasized that the regular Japanese curriculum will also be implemented in high school, so parents have nothing to fear when it comes to the formation of gaps in subjects such as history, English and geography.
