Judged irresponsible for two murders, the forty-year-old dressed up for a few hours. A second escape in the space of that

This is the second escape in a few days in this care facility.

Four days after the arrest and re-internment of Jérémy Ribaud, the "cannibal of the Pyrenees" who attacked a woman in Toulouse (Haute-Garonne), a new patient managed to escape from the Marchant hospital, in Toulouse.

According to France Bleu, a 48-year-old man, author of the murders of two people but deemed irresponsible, gave way to his guards on Sunday.

Described as "dangerous and unstable" by a police source quoted by actu.fr, he was arrested a few hours later not far from the psychiatric hospital.

An investigation into the escape

The Toulouse prosecutor's office also opened an investigation on Friday for "attempted murder" after the attack on a septuagenarian by Jérémy Rimbaud.

The authorities are wondering about the circumstances of his flight.

The Toulouse prosecutor's office specified, however, that "his hospitalization regime does not mean double-locking, it is not a prison regime".

The time of the investigation and a new psychiatric expertise, the prefect of Haute-Garonne ordered his placement in a closed sector.

This former soldier who served in Afghanistan had been indicted a few years ago for intentional homicide and acts of cannibalism committed in November 2013. Justice had declared him "totally irresponsible (...) because of his mental state", says the floor.
