Sports cars like the Ferrari Enzo are usually kept in the garage.

A specimen in the USA is the exception to the rule with almost 150,000 kilometers.

Salt Lake City (USA) – For the vast majority of people, the car is probably just a commodity they use to go to work or go shopping.

The mileage is correspondingly high.

Things are different with sports cars like the Ferrari Enzo.

These serve more as an investment than as an everyday car.

But as we all know, exceptions prove the rule.

In this case, the exception is called MM Enzo, as reported by 24auto.de.

This super sports car is actually used as an everyday car instead of standing in a garage as an investment like many of the other 399 models built.

MM Enzo stands for "Most Miles Enzo", i.e. it is the Enzo with the highest mileage.

At least that is the goal of its owner Richard Losee, who bought the iconic sports car new at the end of 2003, as reported by “Auto Bild”.

Shortly after Losse had received the Ferrari Enzo, he lent it to Road&Track for an extensive test.

At the end of the test, the sports car had already clocked up 2,500 kilometers.

The magazine was even allowed to use the car for a kind of endurance test.

In just three years, the MM Enzo's mileage increased to a whopping 50,000 kilometers.

A mileage that the vast majority of Enzo will probably not unwind in their entire car life.

Now and then Losse was at the wheel himself, but it didn't always end well.

In 2006, the American lost control of the Enzo at 332 km/h as part of a charity event on a closed road.

This was completely destroyed and thus shares the sad fate of an Enzo from the Netherlands.

The accident was not without consequences for Losse either, it took him over a year to fully recover.

However, this did not stop him from his goal and so the MM Enzo was rebuilt.

The American also took the opportunity to give it a biturbo engine instead of the naturally aspirated V12.

The performance increased to over 800 hp.

With the new engine, Losse wanted to set a speed record on a salt lake in 2010 and exceeded the factory specification of 355 km/h by a whopping 27 km/h.

After that it became quiet around the sports car.

However, the MM Enzo is now something of an Instagram celebrity.

The user @dryl8k regularly posts new pictures of the Ferrari and drives the Enzo in everyday life - in wind and weather.

The sports car has now clocked up more than 148,000 kilometers, as shown in the picture.

However, the owner is still Losse, as "motor1.com" reports.

He had also ordered a second set of gullwing doors a few years ago.

The top part of the door can be removed, transforming the Ferrari into a Targa.

But that's not all: So that the MM Enzo can also drive in the snow, a wheel carrier was specially made for a second set of wheels.

Despite its now stately age, the Ferrari Enzo is still a long way from its destination.

In this way, many further milestones are to be added.

The intermediate goal should probably be the 100,000 mile mark (around 160,000 kilometers).

However, the question is not whether, but when this will be exceeded.
