Volkswagen is completing the program of 'enrichment' and remodeling of the exterior and interior design of the current Golf 8, in view of the launch of this new series in 2024. The German magazine AutoBild, which has always been well informed, anticipates its contents and possible appearance. about what happens in Wolfsburg.

Recall that the Golf, now in its eighth generation, with 205 thousand units sold in Europe in 2021 is the most purchased model and therefore continues to effectively contribute to company results despite being offered only with electrified ICE engines.

The major aesthetic novelty should be an adaptation of the brand's 'battleship' to the design trends highlighted with the most recent cars, but also an approximation of the physiognomy to that of the ID family, not only to modernize it but probably also to make the diversity less evident. 100% electric models compared to cars that still constitute the company's core business.

As AutoBild's reconstruction highlights, the daytime running lights migrate to the edges of the main light clusters, with a design reminiscent of the current T-Roc.

The shape of the front shield has also been revised, with air intakes and other elements that now approach the design of other models of the brand.

Inside, Volkswagen should introduce new materials for the panels in this evolution of the Golf 8, to remedy the criticisms made on the quality of the current ones.

News in sight also in the infotainment (already improved in the current model) with a larger touchscreen and adequately updated hardware and software.

Even if we continue to talk insistently about a new generation of diesel engines of contained displacement and powered by injection at very high pressure (3500 bar) - thus able to compete in combination with an electrification system - with the real CO2 emissions of a 100% electric model, the 2024 Golf 8 should continue to be offered with conventional powertrains, all 'hybridized'.

And among these, a diesel-powered variant could continue to exist, the favorite of those who choose this model for long journeys.
