Both the United States and China have confirmed official confirmation of the fall of the fragment of the Chinese Long March 5B rocket on Malaysia, in an area near the coastal city of Bintulu.
The American Space Forces confirmed that the impact occurred at 18.51 Italian time.
China indicates that the impact would have occurred on the sea.
The space debris, indicated by the abbreviation CZ-5B-Y3, is a fragment of the rocket that on 24 July had brought the second module of the Chinese space station into orbit.
