Turkish authorities today issued arrest warrants for 112 people, 81 of whom were arrested under the pretext of association with the preacher Fethullah Gulen, whom the Recep Tayyip Erdogan regime accuses of being behind the 2016 coup attempt.
"Prosecutors in the capital Ankara issued arrest warrants for 94 people on charges of using the Gulen messaging application, 67 of whom have been arrested, while 27 others are still being sought," the Anatolia news agency quoted the state prosecutor's office as saying in a statement.
Prosecutors also issued arrest warrants for 18 former soldiers, including 14 arrested in raids and arrests in six provinces.
Since the coup attempt, the Erdogan regime has waged a severe crackdown on its opponents and opponents.
