Spain has surpassed the 22,000 death mark for the new coronavirus on Thursday April 23 after a slight increase in the number of deaths in 24 hours for the third consecutive day, announced the Ministry of Health.

A total of 22,157 people died in Covid-19 in the country, the third most bereaved in the world by the pandemic behind the United States and Italy. In 24 hours, 440 deaths were notified.
