Coronavirus: more than 110,000 dead in Europe

The new coronavirus pandemic has killed more than 110,000 people in Europe, nearly two-thirds of Covid-19-related deaths worldwide, according to reports by AFP from official sources at 9:20 am GMT on Wednesday.

With a total of 110,192 deaths (for 1,246,840 cases), Europe is the continent hardest hit by the Covid-19 pandemic, which killed 177,368 people worldwide. Italy (24,648) and Spain (21,717) are the most affected countries in Europe, followed by France (20,796) and the United Kingdom (17,337).
