Spain announced Friday that 367 people died within 24 hours of coronavirus, the lowest daily toll in a month, bringing the total number of deaths to 22,524.

The third country in the world most bereaved by the pandemic, Spain had not announced such a low daily toll since the 394 deaths on March 22, according to the Ministry of Health. The total number of cases is 219,764, including people whose tests have shown that they have developed antibodies against the disease.
