(ANSA) - NEW DELHI, JULY 15 - In the last 24 hours India has recorded a new record of daily increase in new cases of coronavirus, with 29,429 new positive ones: the Ministry of Health communicated this morning. There were 482 deaths in the same day.
The total number of cases in the country thus rises to 936,181, which includes 592,031 patients recovered and 319,840 active patients.
320,161 tests were performed yesterday; the Ministry informs that in twenty-two of the thirty-five, between states and territorial union of the country, 140 tests are performed per day for inhabitants, according to the recommendations of the WHO, the World Health Organization.
The two states of Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu alone account for 50% of the total number of active cases, followed by Karnataka, which snows 8%.
India is in third place in the world for absolute data, after the United States and Brazil. (HANDLE).
