In the Catholic kindergarten St. Sebastian, children and educators not only celebrated their annual Oktoberfest.
This year there was also a special service anniversary: Educator Claudia Lange has been with us for 45 years.

- For this long-term commitment there were flowers from the kindergarten management and congratulations from colleagues, the children and also Pastor Franz von Lüninck. In 1969 the foundation stone was laid for the kindergarten on Schergenamtsweg. At that time, the sisters of the Holy Family ran the facility and Pastor Anton Hangl carried out the inauguration. "Unfortunately Corona prevented our 50th anniversary", reports kindergarten director Monika Gensheimer. In return, Claudia Lange's anniversary could be celebrated a bit internally. Lange started out as a young nanny and for the first few years still worked with the sisters of the Holy Family. When they withdrew, educators and nannies were hired. "Since then, a lot has changed in terms of requirements, styles of upbringing, reforms and legislation, changing pastors and outgoing staff," said Gensheimer. What remained the same was the task of supporting the children in a warm-hearted atmosphere for the years before they started school.
