Germany takes in hundreds of thousands of refugees from Ukraine - a challenge for the authorities and the population. Is crisis management better than in 2015? Answers in votes.

Russia's brutal war against Ukraine is forcing millions of people to leave their homes.

The federal government has promised to take in refugees without knowing how many will come - and how long they will stay.

How well is Germany prepared for this?

What have society and authorities learned from the refugee crisis of 2015/16?

The first answers can be found at the old Berlin Tegel Airport.

An arrival center for refugees recently opened there, which is supposed to process up to 10,000 people a day.

In this episode, director Detlef Cwojdzinski leads through the gigantic facilities and shows how the distribution of people in accommodation and other federal states works.

Two volunteers also report how they take in and place refugees privately.

And the migration researcher Hannes Schammann explains what the federal, state and local governments are doing better this time - and where there will be problems.
