Summary.
It is a new duel between Emmanuel Macron and Marine Le Pen which is being prepared.
On the evening of April 10, the candidate of the National Rally came second behind the outgoing president, and therefore qualified for the second round of the presidential election.
Since her defeat in 2017, Marine Le Pen has been preparing for this return match.
To rally voters, she does everything to soften her divisive image.
In 2018, she changed the name of her party and since the start of the presidential campaign, she has regularly shown a more personal side of herself.
Despite the difficulties posed by the rival candidacy of Éric Zemmour, she managed to pull out of the game by placing herself as the candidate who supports the French in the face of rising prices.
Today, there is no question of making the same mistakes as in the debate between the two rounds of 2017. A few weeks before the second round, the candidate hopes to create an anti-Macron front and to arouse votes in her favor.
