Former British Finance Minister Rishi Sunak has announced his candidacy for prime minister, after Liz Terrace resigned from the post.
"We are facing a deep economic crisis, I want to reform our economy, unite our party and provide aid to our country," Sunak wrote in a tweet today.
Last Thursday, British Prime Minister Liz Truss announced her resignation from the leadership of the Conservative Party, after six weeks of taking office.
