Against the backdrop of the war, Reuters reported Friday evening that Saudi Arabia is freezing the plan to normalize relations with Israel. That's according to two sources in Riyadh familiar with the matter.
Two sources told Reuters there would be a delay in talks pushed by the United States. The talks were supposed to provide Saudi Arabia with a defense pact with the United States or security guarantees in exchange for normalizing ties with Israel.

Meanwhile, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman held a conversation with Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi in recent days. Like other leaders in Arab countries, bin Salman called for an end to the war in the region.
