On Saturday evening, the pro-Iranian Al-Mayadeen TV reported an attack on the runway at Aleppo airport in Syria. At the same time, a radio station affiliated with the Assad regime reported an Israeli attack.
The attack comes after earlier this evening shots were fired from Syria into Israeli territory, both of which fell in an open area and no damage was caused. The IDF then responded with artillery fire to the area from which the launches originated.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, which is affiliated with the opposition to the Assad regime, reported an "Israeli strike with long-range missiles against runways at Aleppo airport," which were supposed to be used to land Iranian planes. According to the report, the attack came a few hours after Assad's men announced the reconstruction of the airport.
It should be noted that just a few days ago Syrian TV reported on a combined Israeli air strike on the airports of Aleppo and Damascus. Syria later reported that the airports had been shut down.
