Eyal Golan and Daniel Greenberg wanted to take advantage of the past weekend to blow wind into the sails of IDF fighters near the Gaza Strip. During the visit, the two had to deal with missile fire into their area, while at the time there was no protected area in their vicinity. In order to illustrate the moments of fear and panic, Greenberg posted a photo on her Instagram account that captured her and Golan defending themselves with their bodies in the open.
"On the way home, we were caught with sirens and interceptions over our heads," Greenberg wrote against the background of a photo documenting her moments of missile defense, as she lay on the floor trying to protect her head and Eyal Golan put his hand on her. "I'll admit, the first time an alarm caught me when I wasn't in a safe space. Fear God! Take care, and let's win this damn war."
Eyal Golan said in response: "During the IDF soldiers' visit to the Gaza envelope, we encountered red paint and missile launches above our heads. We stopped the car on the side and acted according to instructions from the Home Front Command. I call on everyone to do the same, because they save lives. The feeling that we need to defend ourselves within our country, which is supposed to be our safe place, is shocking and the time has come to put an end to it. We place our trust in G-d and the Israel Defense Forces, and are confident that Israel will win and restore quiet to our region. I wish the IDF soldiers, the police, and all the security forces success. Calls upon all the people of Israel to remain united and to multiply in unconditional love. The people of Israel are alive!"
