Adam Sr. has a military history and in the past was deputy commander of a kingfisher and a paratrooper sergeant. Omer Adam is also the grandson of Shmuel Adam, Yekutiel Adam's cousin, who was a major general in the IDF, one of the planners of Operation Yonatan, deputy chief of staff and head of the division. He was killed in Operation Peace for Galilee.
