Highlights: Meir Tzur felt ill last Thursday night and asked to document himself in words of encouragement to the security forces. "We will screw their souls to the end. Good for you," he said. "Guys, guys, my name is Meir Tzur, I respect you. I respect you, continue your mission and we will screw their souls to the end. Good for you. I am a resident of Meitar and I am proud of you," Meir Tzur said before he passed away.

Just a month ago, Meir celebrated his 85th birthday at his home. A week ago, like all of us, he was forced to hear about the horrific mass slaughter carried out by Hamas terrorists in the southern settlements, and about the abduction of dozens of children, women, the elderly and men. Before his death, he sought to convey a strong message to IDF soldiers.

This was after another difficult night that Meir experienced due to the serious illness he was struggling against. He felt that these were the last hours of his life, and his son Amirav accepted his request to photograph the documentation. A day later, he died. Tomorrow, his funeral will be held at 15:30 p.m. at the Meitar cemetery.

His son told Israel Hayom: "On Thursday night he was in serious condition. Everything he told us during that time, I would record for the memories. The whole family was proud of him and we were all strengthened by it. My father fought in the Six-Day War and other Israeli wars. Even when he could no longer fight, he made sure to support and help in any activity related to the soldiers. Since the video was published, I've been getting a lot of comments from people that it gave them strength and strengthened them."
