Hamas leader Khaled Mashaal was criticized yesterday by journalists and commentators in Lebanon for arguing that Hezbollah should intervene in the fighting against Israel.
In a clip published by the Syrian rebel-affiliated news network Orient, Faisal Abdel Sather, a commentator close to the Hezbollah terror organization's line, is heard mocking Mashaal's remarks: "It's as if the story is that one sitting in hotels in the Gulf states will issue us a statement."

Another commentator in Lebanon, Salem Zahran, also joined in mocking Mashaal, saying on the broadcast: "Mashaal is sitting in a 7-star hotel and wants all of Lebanon to have missiles fall on it."
Mashaal continued to insist that there is a historic opportunity for the intervention of the entire Iranian axis, saying: "This is a historic opportunity, this is how history is done. History is not made with limited and hesitant steps and steps. Today, the official fronts (southern Lebanon, Syria, Iran) have stopped, strategically, and for the sake of the great interest, we must participate in the campaign together, what we have now is not enough. Under the heading of the Al-Aqsa flood, more than a flood is needed, and this is a historic opportunity."
